Krief was born in Nice, France in 1961. His studies began at a very young age in Nice. His first major exhibition of paintings was at the Sofitel Gallery, Nice at the age of 18. In 1981 he was awarded first prize by Amnesty International Cannes, France. In the early 1980’s he began exhibiting worldwide including France, Switzerland, United States, Israel, Belgium, Canada, and Japan. In 1996 he created his first sculptures using Shofars (ram’s horns) achieving expressions of gentle elegance and motion.
