Michael Yakhilevitz was born in 1956 in Moscow, USSR. He graduated from The Stage Design Department of The Moscow Artistic Theater Institute in 1979. In 1983, he was selected to become a member of the USSR Artists Union. In 1990, he moved to Israel, where in 1991 was selected to become a member of The Israeli Artists Union.
